# Gateway Factory

> Gateway Factory is a growth engine for European DeepTech startups, taking founders from first steps to international market readiness through programs, startup services, and physical infrastructure. Based in the Rhineland (Aachen, Cologne, Düsseldorf), it is one of ten official "Startup Factories" in Germany, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).

Gateway Factory connects scientific founders with mentors, investors, corporates, and infrastructure to turn DeepTech research into market-ready companies. It is a joint initiative of RWTH Aachen University, the University of Cologne, Gateway Hochschulen Köln, HHU Düsseldorf, and the Start2 Group. Its work is organized around four innovation verticals: Sustainable Infrastructures, Future Regulatory Demands, Future Health & Life Sciences, and Future Computing & Engineering.
